In addition to the name change, the Club is excited to announce key details about its upcoming renovation. The club has enlisted Kentucky-based golf course architect Kevin Hargrave, renowned for his expertise in traditional golf course design, to lead the project. Hargrave’s vision will blend the timeless elegance of the Golden Age of Golf with modern elements, ensuring a course that offers both challenging play and memorable experiences for golfers. To execute this vision, the club has partnered with Leibold Irrigation, a leader in golf course construction. John Leibold and his team bring extensive experience and a proven track record of delivering top-tier results, having recently completed renovation projects at prestigious courses such as Medinah, Chicago Golf, Camargo, Skokie Country Club, and Butler National.
Originally established in 1926, The Silo Club (formerly Indian Creek Golf Club) has been a beloved part of the Iowa golfing community for nearly a century. In 2024, the club was acquired by the Vier Family, who share a passion for golf and have a vision to transform the course into one of the top 9-hole courses in the country. Nestled in the Indian Creek valley of Nevada, Iowa, The Silo Club will provide golfers with a meticulously crafted course, featuring distinctive design elements and a truly memorable experience. The renovation is scheduled for completion in the fall of 2025, culminating in the official reopening of The Silo Club in May 2026 to celebrate its 100th anniversary.
